Noah’s Ark works with children, parents and the community to ensure the rights and safety of children and to give them the very best start in life. We consider that the welfare of the child is paramount and it is the duty of members, staff and volunteers to implement this policy, and to ensure that it has in place appropriate procedures to safeguard the well-being of children and young people and protect them from abuse. We actively promote inclusion, equality of opportunity , the valuing of diversity and British values. All staff have an up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding issues and are alert to the signs and symptoms of abuse.
At Noah’s Ark the welfare and well being of the child is paramount and therefore all our policies and procedures reflect this. Our Safeguarding arrangements should be read in conjunction with all our policies and procedures and reflect our commitment to building a Culture of Safety, responding promptly and appropriately and promoting awareness of Child Abuse Issues. Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) who co-ordinates child protection issues is Jane Smith.
